Questions asked by gift registry owners
When should we set-up our registry?
We recommend that you register approximately 3 months before your wedding or baby shower, prior to sending out your wedding invitations.

How much does it cost?
The entire service is absolutely free, including the Announcement Cards and Thank You cards.

Would I be able to add or delete gifts from my registry?
Yes, you are able to login to your account and add or delete gifts at your convenience. Gifts that have already been bought can, however, not be deleted.

Some of our guests don’t have access to the internet. How would they be able to purchase?
Purchasing without the internet can be done by calling The Gift Registry on 082 673 9862.

Would the products be available to view?
You can view our extensive range of products online in our “virtual showroom”. We do not carry any stock in our office.

What is the process when someone buys a gift off our registry?
Your guest will simply search for your gift registry then view your gift list and select what they would like to purchase for you. On Checkout, they can pay via Bank Transfer. When all the purchases have been made, the gifts will be delivered to your preferred address.

How would I know who the gift is from?
As part of The Gift Registry service we will give you a comprehensive list of who purchased which gift off your registry and the message they have for you. We also include Thank You cards, which makes the process much easier.

Do you offer any vouchers?
Yes, we do have a cash option. The Gift Registry will transfer your cash directly into your bank account via EFT. Please be aware that a cash handling fee will be charged.

How will our guests know we are registered with The Gift Registry?
You have the option of collecting announcement cards from our showroom. These announcement cards will politely inform your guests that your registry is set up with The Gift Registry, informing them exactly how to go about purchasing from us.

What about duplication of gifts?
The Gift Registry guarantees there will be no duplication of gifts. Once a guest has purchased a chosen gift, it is marked as sold from your gift list immediately and is not able to be repurchased.
